Echinocactus grusonii, also known as golden barrel cactus, is an award winning species of slowly growing cactus with a barrel shaped stem and prominent ribs sprouting bright golden spines. Bright yellow flowers are produced from late spring to summer when receiving enough full sun. Keep this plant dry and do not wet the body of this plant in the sunlight. this cactus species is exceptionally robust and does not come with many requirements in terms of tending.
