Bougainvillea brasiliensis, also known as great bougainvillea, is a fast-growing evergreen that likes to grow in plenty of full sun exposure. In fact, while they can grow in partial shade too, the full sun produces the best flowering results and the best growth development. They respond well to drought and heat too. Once established, they require little to moderate water use, and we recommend fertilizing this Bougainvillea plant in the spring for the best bloom.
